How to Get Certified
  1. Take the ZED Pledge: 
    Before applying for a certification level, every MSME must take a “ZED Pledge.” This is a promise to uphold the values of Zero Defect Zero Effect in your business practices.
  2. Certification Levels:
    > Bronze
    > Silver
    > Gold

Eligibility

All MSMEs registered with the UDYAM registration portal (of the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, MoMSME) are eligible to participate in the MSME Sustainable (ZED) Certification program and avail related benefits and incentives.

Subsidies

Any number of Units registered under one Udyam Registration can apply for subsidy under this Scheme. Each Unit (under one Udyam Registration) will need to apply for Certification separately to avail subsidy/benefits/incentives.

Subsidy Rates

  • Micro Enterprises: 80%
  • Small Enterprises: 60%
  • Medium Enterprises: 50%

Free (100% subsidy) ZED Certification for Women Owned MSMEs Any number of Units (owned by Women) registered under one Udyam Registration can apply for subsidy under this Scheme

Joining Reward

  • Reward Amount: Rs. 10,000/-
  • Usage: The reward can be used once for applying for any ZED Certification level (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
  •  International Cooperation (IC) Scheme Stall Charges subject to a maximum of Rs.3.50 lakh or actual rent paid
  • International Cooperation (IC) Scheme Economy class airfare subject to a maximum of Rs. 1.75 lakh or actual fare paid

Financial Support

  • Total Support: Up to Rs. 5 Lakhs per MSME.
    Handholding Support: Up to Rs. 2 Lakhs for consulting services.
  • Technology Upgradation: Up to Rs. 3 Lakhs for zero effect solutions, pollution control, and cleaner technology.
  1. Apply for Support:
    . After achieving Bronze certification, apply for handholding and technology upgradation support.
  2. Consultation and Verification:
    . Utilize up to Rs. 2 Lakhs for consulting.
    . Use up to Rs. 3 Lakhs for technology improvements based on consultant recommendations, verification by MSME-DI, and PMAC approval.
